DinoSnores – Museum offers First Public Sleepover
When the doors close, and the lights go down, what kind of adventures await you at the Manitoba Museum? Does the pliosaur come alive in the Earth History Gallery? Will the Mamenchisaurusrun from the T. Rex in World’s Giant Dinosaurs? There’s only one way to find out – with DinoSnores: A Night at the Museum! In its first publicly offered sleepover, the Museum invites families for an exciting overnight experience on June 3.
Travel back in time and learn how dinosaurs grew to be so big, investigate Manitoba’s history in the Museum Galleries, and discover the wonders of the universe in the Planetarium. Explore the Science Gallery and see amazing experiments with things that flash and go bang! Families will enjoy a pizza dinner, snacks, and a continental breakfast in the morning. Families are sure to be entertained all evening long with crafts, interactive storytelling and a mystery scavenger hunt. Then, stay awake for a special walk through the darkened Museum Galleries with only a flashlight to guide you. Still too excited to sleep? Lean back in the Auditorium, grab some popcorn and enjoy a showing of Night at the Museum.
“For several years the Museum has offered large groups the MuZZZeum Sleepover experience, but we’ve never offered it to the general public,” says Mike Jensen, Programs Supervisor. “It’s very exciting to organize and offer this unique DinoSnores event to families, especially in connection with the World’s Giant Dinosaurs. Your family is sure to have an experience of a lifetime – one that they will never forget!”
